Some Ideas for a French-Themed Wedding

If you and your fiancé simply love Paris, then a French-themed wedding is a great way to celebrate your special day. You can have your bridesmaids dress as Can-Can dancers for a quirky, playful touch. Or you can subtly reflect this style through your invitations, music, and food.

For your wedding invitations and response cards, have the Eiffel Tower or a fleur-de-lis printed or embossed. Select stationary in traditional French provincial shades of blue and yellow, or a combination of pink, white, and black.

Make use of lavender, French tulips, or garden roses in the bridal bouquet and centrepieces. Pick tablecloths and napkins in traditional patterns.

At the reception, have a crepe station making both sweet and savoury crepes to order during cocktail hour. Your dinner entree could either be chicken in red wine or beef stew. For dessert, have the baker set macaroons around the edge of the tiers of your wedding cake.
